1864 $1 PR65 PCGS Secure. CAC. OC-P4. Osburn-Cushing Die State a/a. Vertical shield line 3 of stripe 1 extends to horizontal line 5. One of four die pairs used to strike proofs in 1864. The reported mintage is 470 pieces, a number that implies all of the proof dollars were included in original silver proof sets. Splendid multicolor toning graces both sides of this stunning Gem proof.
