Morgan Dollars
1886-O $1 MS64+ PCGS. CAC. The 1886-O Morgan dollar had a mintage just north of 10 million coins, but few of those survived in Mint State grades. Most of the 10 million silver dollars were used in commerce, and today the average certified grade is less than MS60. Only one-third of the 6,874 PCGS certified submissions grade MS60 or finer, and only 10 pieces grade finer than this one, including those designated Prooflike or Deep Mirror Prooflike. PCGS has only certified 35 of these in MS64+. This lovely piece is fully brilliant and untoned with frosty silver luster and above average design definition. CAC: 36 in 64, 3 finer (11/16).
