1889-CC $1 MS61 PCGS. The key issue in the Carson City Morgan dollar subset is the 1889-CC, an issue with a small mintage of 350,000 pieces and an almost complete absence in the Treasury releases of the mid-20th century. Large numbers of circulated examples are known, suggesting that a substantial portion of the mintage was dispersed into commercial channels in the 19th century. Mint State survivors in any grade are scarce. This MS61 coin displays vibrant luster with a few traces of light golden toning. Scattered abrasions include a couple of noticeable marks on the cheek, nothing out of line for the grade.
