Bass-Dannreuther Die State a/a, an early die state struck from perfect obverse and reverse dies that show no evidence of die cracks, clash marks, or lapping. Type collectors would do well to consider this piece as it is a plentiful variety that is frequently available in a wide grade range up to MS64, while finer pieces are quite rare. Minor adjustment marks on the borders diminish the peripheral detail of this Choice Mint State example, while the central obverse and reverse design definition is exquisite.
