Indian Eagles
1908-S $10 MS63 PCGS. Boasting a small mintage of 59,850 pieces, the 1908-S Indian eagle is scarce in Mint State. The San Francisco Mint was the last to receive working dies in 1908 for the new Saint-Gaudens issue. Production was not commenced until after the reinstatement of IN GOD WE TRUST to the reverse, making only one variety for this issue. Uncirculated examples are widely scattered throughout various grades, although Gems are rare. This Select coin remains collectible and retains significant eye appeal, despite light, scattered marks. The strike is sharp, and each side displays luminous orange-gold luster. A thin mark on Liberty's cheek is the only individually mentionable abrasion.
