High Relief Double Eagles
1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim MS61 NGC. High Relief twenties are generally seen in higher grades because a curbside market developed for them immediately after striking, thus encouraging careful preservation. This piece was obviously in the presence of other coins, enough so that there are numerous small abrasions present, most of which are concentrated in the right obverse field. This piece is a sharply struck with bright yellow-gold color and just the slightest evidence of the usually seen reddish patina. Always in demand for its scarcity and numismatic significance.
