1992 $1 Silver Eagle MS70 PCGS. In 1992, the average price of silver dipped just below four dollars per ounce, and with that came a decline in investor demand for Silver Eagles. Production topped 5.5 million coins in 1992, but fell far short of the nearly 7.2 million-coin mintage of the previous year. Collector interest in top-grade examples of this issue has significantly increased in recent years due to the popularity of Registry Sets. In the top grade, there are hundreds of examples certified at NGC, but at PCGS, Registry enthusiasts must compete for only three coins that grade MS70 (10/16). One of those is offered here. This flawlessly preserved and fully struck 1992 Silver Eagle is devoid of toning and imperfection. Radiant satin luster produces incredible eye appeal.
