Commemorative Silver
1921 50C Pilgrim MS66+ PCGS. Struck in large quantities in both 1920 and 1921, the Pilgrim Tercentenary half dollars are far scarcer dated 1921 than the inaugural 1920 issue. An overly ambitious mintage of 100,000 pieces plus 53 assay coins yielded a net distribution of just 20,053 coins in 1921. This Plus-graded Pilgrim exudes satiny silver luster from faintly toned, golden-gray and lilac patina. A fully struck example, with full details on Governor Bradford's hat and cheekbone, as well as full rigging on the ship from stem to stern. Population: 23 in 66+, 47 finer (10/16).
