1995 $10 Quarter-Ounce Gold Eagle MS70 PCGS. Demand for quarter-ounce Gold Eagles increased by 15% from 1994 to 1995, with the mint striking 83,752 ten dollar gold bullion coins in circulation-strike format. That production total is relatively unremarkable in the context of the entire series, failing to suggest just how rare in the 1995 is flawless MS70 condition. Where recent issues tend to be more available than not in MS70, the 1995 is very rare with flawless surfaces. PCGS has only seen four such examples, this one included (11/16). Another MS70 PCGS example recently realized $20,200 in an October 2015 eBay sale. Remarkably, this is the first time we have ever offered an example in MS70 from either service. Butter-gold surfaces are devoid of any impairment whatsoever and feature fully struck devices. We expect this lot to generate spirited bidding.
