1883 25C Hawaii Quarter PR62 PCGS. CAC. The Guide Book lists a proof mintage of 26 pieces for the 1883 Hawaii quarter dollar. The issue is understandably rare in any grade today, with some resubmissions likely reflected in the certified population totals. PCGS and NGC combined report 22 survivors, mostly in low grades. This CAC-approved example displays a full strike and reflective fields. The interiors are essentially brilliant, but the borders show light russet-gold toning. Faint lines in the fields prevent a finer grade.
