GSA Dollars
1878-CC $1 Soft Pack GSA MS65 NGC. A slender arc of forest-green and autumn-brown toning adorns the lower obverse periphery. The rest of the coin is snow-white. The toning pattern is the likely reason why GSA workers decided to house the present Carson City dollar in a soft pack instead of the familiar hard black plastic GSA holder. In any event it is a lovely Gem, lustrous and nicely struck with a few small marks on the reverse field near the beak.
