So-Called Dollars
1900 $1 Lesher Dollar, First Type, No. 93, VF25 PCGS. Zerbe-1, HK-787, R.6. The first Joseph Lesher dollar variety lacks the mining landscape and Colorado state seal shown on subsequent issues. But the purpose was the same, to use silver in commerce instead of paper money or credit. This problem-free cream-gray example has a bold obverse. The central reverse displays moderate wear. Listed on page 415 of the 2017 Guide Book.
