1862 Bradstreet, Hoffman and Co., New York, NY, MS65 Red and Brown Prooflike NGC. Fuld-NY630Ha-1a, Miller-NY-81, Rulau-NY-NY-36. Copper, 34 mm. Plain edge. Melvin and George Fuld did not include this merchant in their Civil War references, probably because of its relatively large diameter. It was listed by Miller, then by Rulau, and later added to the Fuld Store Card Third Edition. An orange-gold and cherry-red Gem with blushes of navy-blue on the central reverse.
