Mint of the United States at San Francisco, Type One Oval Hallmark, Large Font # 1737, Straight Stem 9s in 999.5 Fine, Lot #6. 5.03 ozs. Mid to late-1930s.
Type One ingots with Straight Stem 9s in the fineness and large font are among the earliest ingots produced in the San Francisco Mint. They are only predated by one other series (Curved Stem 9s). This ingot is bright overall with deeply impressed imprints on both sides.
