Large Font Type One ingots with Straight 9s and 999.5 fineness are usually found in the numeric range of #1600s to #1900s, placing this particular ingot at the upper range of known serial numbers. The number 1894 would date this item to the late-1930s. The surfaces are bright with just a hint of light reddish patina. The hallmark is slightly angled.
