1946 U.S. Mint Philadelphia Type Three Hallmark, #20, 999 Fine, Lot #10. 6.85 ozs.
The Type Three hallmark was used on Philadelphia ingots in 1946, but the same punch wasn't used on ingots produced in San Francisco until 1956 and the early 1960s on those made in New York. This a nicely laid-out piece with the date, fineness, and hallmark on the top side; while the serial number and weight are punched into the lower back side. Light silver surfaces throughout.
