Nuggets
Gold Nugget. 82.5 grams. This triangular-shaped nugget shows comparatively small amount of the host matrix, a granular, reddish-brown ore that appears to hold copper as well as gold. The natural action of weathering and the abrasive force of water and stream action has reduced the nugget to its present form, with rounded edges and smooth-gold surface that displays a mostly brassy-gold color and only a little residual material in the crevices and recesses. The nugget's size at its widest points measures 38 mm x 29 mm (1.50" x 1.14") at a weight of 82.5 grams.
