Certified Modern Proof Sets
1936 1C Proof Set, PR64-PR66 PCGS. This five-piece, all PCGS-certified set includes:
Cent -- Brilliant Finish -- PR65 Red. Deep cherry-red color over each side with occasional dabs of pale yellow and lilac patina interspersed.
Nickel -- Brilliant Finish -- PR66. Brightly reflective mirrors are evident in the fields and each side is brilliant with no apparent flaws.
Dime PR65. Just the slightest hint of golden is seen over the otherwise brilliant and deeply mirrored fields.
Quarter PR65. Brilliant with illimitable depth of mirrored reflectivity in the fields. Looks finer than the stated grade.
Half Dollar PR64. The surfaces are brilliant throughout and the mirrored fields are remarkably deep, especially so for a 1936 half. It doesn't take much imagination to see a bit of modest contrast against the devices.
