1873 T$1 Trade Dollar, Judd-1276, Pollock-1418, R.5, PR61 NGC. Ex: Hilt Collection. Judd-1276 distinctively shows a small head of Liberty facing left surrounded by a large, open field with 13 peripheral stars. On the reverse, an olive wreath surrounds the denomination, weight, and fineness inscriptions, while UNITED STATES OF AMERICA graces the upper periphery. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. The fields are deeply reflective even though the surfaces are lightly hairlined. The only color is seen surrounding the devices on each side.
Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2015), lot 6001.
