Gold Dollars
1854 G$1 Type Two MS62 NGC. Always popular for type, the Type Two is the scarcest of the three gold dollar designs and one that was utilized only in the years 1854 to 1856. This Mint State example is typically die clashed with a bit of graininess at the borders from worn dies. Nice luster covers the flax-gold surfaces, with several faint lines and small marks that define the assigned grade. The strike is reasonably sharp. A few Mint-related file marks between T and A of STATES are noted.
