Gold Dollars
1889 G$1 MS67 PCGS. This was the final year of production for the Liberty Head gold dollar type, and 28,950 business strikes emerged from the Philadelphia Mint. Apparently, quite a few examples were spared from circulation and kept in Mint State condition. Superb Gems remain scarce, however. This beautiful specimen displays intense, radiant mint frost and lovely light rose, peach, and yellow-gold toning. It is sharply-struck and the surfaces are virtually flawless.
