1911-D $2 1/2 MS61 NGC. Strong D. A small mintage of 55,680 coins is all it took to cement the status of the 1911-D as the key to the Pratt quarter eagle series. Deep orange-gold coloration characterizes each side. The exposed fields show myriad marks. Well-struck with minor softness on the headdress and the wingtip.
