1908-D $10 No Motto MS64 PCGS. The Denver Mint struck a large number of ten dollar gold coins early in 1908, before the addition of IN GOD WE TRUST was mandated on July 1. No Motto representatives from that facility (210,000 coins) are readily available in circulated grades and somewhat collectible through MS62. Select Uncirculated examples are scarce, while coins as fine as this present a formidable challenge. Mixed sun and peach-gold color covers this satiny, well-detailed representative. A wispy graze in the left obverse field and a few hair-thin marks on the portrait preclude an even higher grade. Population: 56 in 64 (6 in 64+), 8 finer (11/16).
