1851-O $20 AU55 PCGS. The appeal of O-mint double eagles drives strong demand for such coins in all grades. In the upper AU levels, demand for the 1851-O often surpasses the number of coins on the market at any given time. Uncirculated examples of the date are rare, and often a high-end AU coin is more attractive due to the heavy abrasions typically seen on Mint State pieces.
