1856 $20 MS60 ANACS. The 1856 Liberty double eagle was heavily circulated at the time of issue and relatively few examples have surfaced in recent shipwreck finds. Accordingly, the 1856 is a rare issue in high grade, despite the mintage of 329,878 pieces. This impressive Mint State example offers well-detailed design elements and the orange-gold surfaces are lightly marked for the grade.
