A shrinkwrapped example of the heralded 1,055-page gold rush reference, published to promote and accompany sales of gold bars and coins recovered from the 1857 wreck of the S.S. Central America. The book includes a pinch of gold within the inside front cover, and has color plates of all the assayer ingots from the shipwreck known at the time of its 2002 publication.
