LOCRIS. Locris Opunti (ca. 369-338 BC). AR stater (23mm, 12.04 gm, 1h). NGC Choice XF 4/5 - 4/5, die shift. Head of Demeter left, wreathed in grain ears, wearing pendant earring and necklace / OΠON-TIΩN, Ajax the lesser, nude but for Corinthian helmet, advancing right, holding short sword and shield ornamented on the inside with a coiled serpent, Phrygian helmet below, SNG Lockett 1696. BCD Lokris 14. Slight reverse die shift, otherwise well centered, struck in extreme high relief, and quite beautiful.
