Antonia, mother of Claudius (died AD 37). AR denarius (20mm, 3.77 gm, 5h). NGC VF 5/5 - 4/5. Rome or Lugdunum, under Claudius, AD 41-42. ANTONIA AVGVSTA, draped bust of Antonia right, wreathed in grain-ears, hair in long queue behind / SACERDOS DIVI AVGVSTI, two vertical long torches, lighted and linked by garland. RIC (Claudius) 68. RSC 5. BN (Claudius) 18 (Lugdunum). Very rare! Perfectly centered on an exceptionally broad, round flan.
