French Colony silver Pattern 100 Francs 1950 MS63 NGC, Lec-Unl. 30mm/30.08g. Struck without 'Essai'. One of only two known examples of the type struck in silver instead of the typical copper-nickel composition. This example is nearly as made, and seemingly conservatively graded, with soft golden tone, several darker flecks of color as well and a tone-free streak near Liberty's neck. Ideal for the collector of rare French Colonial coinage.
