George V gold Sovereign 1913-C MS64 NGC, Ottawa mint, KM20. Of the 31 pieces seen by NGC, none have been graded higher than MS64; in fact, this coin is tied with just three others at the MS64 level. Similarly, PCGS has graded 131 examples of this date with none surpassing MS64 either, suggesting that this may very well be as good as it gets in terms of technical quality for this date. In terms of eye appeal, however, we have to assume that this piece ranks among the finest of those other MS64's, as this coin is highly lustrous with very pleasing light red toning.
