Republic gold 2 Dukatu 1934 MS64 NGC, KM9. Though no denomination of this date is common, anecdotal evidence suggests taht the 2 dukatu from 1934 is not as often encountered as its 5 and 10 dukatu counterparts. Indeed, NGC has graded a total of just 9 examples, with this piece being tied with one other for the finest. This compares to them having graded 16 examples of the 1934 5 dukatu, and 21 examples of the 10 dukatu. This is surprising, considering the reported mintage of the 2 dukatu is significantly greater than that of the 5 and 10 dukatu (2403 compared to 1101 and 1298, respectively). As such, this piece may very well surprise the cataloger in the final price that it realizes.
