Magnus Olavsson den Gode (1042-1047) Penning ND MS63 PCGS, Lund mint, Hune as moneyer, Hauberg-1, CJB M-3/116. + MΛHNVS REX, helmeted and cuirassed bust left with shield / + + H • | VN | E ON | LVD, voided long cross with arms terminating in three crescents. A very attractive specimen of this early Danish issue, still struck in the style of the issues of Harthacnut of England. The strike is well-accomplished and the surfaces toned in iridescent shades of warm red and gold.
