Fuad I copper Specimen Pattern 500 Piastres AH 1340 (1922) UNC Details (Damage) PCGS, London mint, cf. KM342. Perhaps more appropriately deemed a die trial than a pattern, as the design appears identical to the standard issue. Apparently canceled at the mint, with a large cut through the planchet that runs from the rim just to the right of Faud's nose. Elsewhere, the surfaces remain rather glossy with little evidence of handling. Extremely rare in this form and quite possibly unique.
Estimate: 3000-4000 USD
