Louis XV gold 1/2 Louis d'or 1730-S MS63 NGC, Reims mint, KM-Unl, Fr-Unl, Gad-329. A rare type from this scarcer mint with handsomely-antiqued surfaces and strong central design elements. Some mild adjustment marks are noted throughout the the legends, but take nothing away from the eye-appealing nature of this coin. Full of gleaming luster that brightens the open fields and free of any major handling marks, this is currently the only certified example of this date/mintmark combination.
