Louis XV gold Louis d'or 1721-K MS62 NGC, Bordeaux mint, KM-Unl, Gad-305. A scarce issue from the Bordeaux mint, rarely offered in the marketplace, with classic golden surfaces and a touch of patination that surrounds the design features. The youthful portrait of the King is rather exceptional, with highpoint styling noticeable throughout, and the reverse contains faint adjustment marks and instances of an understrike visible at the center. Currently the only certified example of this date, and highly engaging thusly.
