Louis XV gold Louis d'or 1753-A MS64, Paris mint, Fr-464, Gad-141, KM513.1. Obv Head of Louis XV left. Rev. Crown over arms of France and Navarre, with date above. Sharply struck, with full, bright mint luster. The surfaces display only tiny marks, with none of the haymarking so often seen on gold coins of this type. An exceptional example of the type. Only a single example has been certified finer by NGC.
