A very popular series, collected both as a type and more systemically by date or mint, this piece does not fail to impress. Near flawless and highly lustrous surfaces combine with lightly frosted devices to form a near cameo effect. The reverse radiates in sunburst of beauty and sharpness of strike. The only detractions are a few die breaks and spots of die rust near Louis's chin and on his neck. Otherwise, a specimen of insurmountable charm and brilliance.
