Louis Philippe I 5 Francs 1839-B MS65 NGC, Rouen mint, KM749.2, Dav-91, Gad-678. Rare quality for this issue with light golden tone over both sides and smooth, satiny luster in the fields. Magnified inspection yields an interesting die crack that runs from the edge at 1 o'clock, into Louis Philippe's hair, across his forehead and finally ends at the tip of his nose. One of only two graded at the level at NGC, with no examples receiving a finer grade.
