Napoleon III 2 Francs 1858-A MS64 PCGS, Paris mint, KM780.1. Mintage: 1,288. A near-Gem of this fleeting issue, asserting a very low mintage figure, and noted as one of the keys to this series. The surfaces are steel toned, with earthy-colored hues in the legends and throughout the reverse recesses, and considerable luster showers the boldly rendered designs. Scarce in all regards, but particularly in this Choice Mint State quality as this is currently the only certified example of the date by PCGS.
