Brunswick-Lüneburg-Calenberg. Ernst August 1/4 Taler 1698 MS63 NGC, KM409. A rare, singular issue that commemorates the death of Ernst August, with attractive silvery-gray centers and the beginnings of cerulean and lavender color at the edges. As the grade suggests, exceptional detail remains across the design features and original mint bloom brightens the remarkably-fresh fields. Uncommon at all levels, but particularly so at this level of certified quality, as this is currently the only certified example by both NGC and PCGS combined.
