Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. August Wilhelm Taler 1725-EPH MS62 NGC, KM739, Dav-2126. A beautiful example of the always popular "Wildman" taler, this coin also comes out of the esteemed Lissner Collection (sold by Classical Numismatic Group and St. James Auctions in August, 2014, lot 471), where it hammered at $2,250. Light toning and ample amounts of residual striking luster, one easily sees why it met the high standards of Richard Lissner. Now some other discerning condition-conscious collector has the opportunity to add it to their collection as well!
