Würzburg - Bishopric. Franz Ludwig von Erthal 2 Goldgulden 1786 MS62 NGC, KM430, Fr-3735, Helm-855. Featuring the bust of the bishop and St. Kilian standing, this intriguing example was struck with Goldgulden dies but on a heavier flan. Clearly a well-preserved selection with ample luster still remaining and flares of orange-peel color across both sides. Boldly detailed and surrounded by reflectivity, with only minor handling and a few flan flaws noted. Rare so fine and delightfully original throughout.
