Edward IV (First Reign, 1461-1470) gold 1/4 Ryal 1465-1466 MS63 NGC, London mint, Light Coinage of 1464-1470, Sun mm, S-1965, N-1560 (S). Arms with "Є" above and a rose and sun to either side; all within a quadrilobe / Long cross fourchée, with rose at center over a radiate sun; lions passant in quarters. A lustrous example with light tone and much luster struck upon a somewhat out-of-round flan. Portions of the legend were not struck up but the overall surfaces are well above-average.
