James I (1603-1625) gold Laurel 1621-1623 AU53 NGC, London mint, Third coinage of 1619-1625, Thistle mm, S-2638A, N-2113. A lustrous example and bright, with a somewhat weak portrait but clearly struck reverse arms. The trio of lis from the upper-left first quarter have ghosted into the obverse leaving a small depression.
