George I "South Sea Company" Crown 1723 XF40 PCGS, Royal mint, KM545.2, Dav-1346, S-3640. Decimo edge. Most attractive, with steel-gray fields that present only modest handling marks and exciting teal color that clings to the raised elements and resides in the legends. The portrait of the King appears rather choice for the grade, while wear impacts the raised features evenly throughout both sides. Still a very collectible issue when encountered as such, struck from silver that was supplied by the South Sea Company.
