George III gold Proof Guinea 1774 PR61 NGC, KM604, S-3727. A scarce proof issue- one of just 17 proofs of this date graded by NGC. Though there are some scattered hairlines and chatter in the fields, this coin is beyond a doubt still technically Mint State, with no actual wear (as one would expect for a proof). The light red toning suggests that this coin was kept raw in a collection for quite some time, meaning that some of the hairlines are simply the result of cabinet friction.
