George III/IV silver Proof Pattern "Fullerton" 1/2 Crown 1799 (c. 1820-1838) PR65 NGC, Ayrshire mint, Forrer II, p. 170. Struck by Matthew Yound (engraved by J. Milton) for Colonel Fullerton. Resplendent quality for the issue with choice surfaces, intermingled gold, blue and earthen tone on the obverse and a ring of similar hue around the reverse centers. Visible frost on the central motif is suggestive of a cameo.
