Republic "Central American Union" gold Medal 1890 MS63 NGC, Prober-350 (Incorrectly noted on the label). A most impressive gold medal struck in Guatemala in 1890 for the commemoration of the Central American October 15, 1889 Union Pact. Attractively styled and with seemingly high-relief centers that are surrounded by plenty of apricot-hued luster and surfaces that are resoundingly clear of any distracting marks. Rare in gold, and pleasantly free of the usual rim nicks and post-strike flaws seen on the issue.
