Republic Peso 1892/0 MS64 PCGS, Tegucicalpa mint, KM52. Rare quality for the type, with surfaces that are almost entirely void of handling and perhaps only missed the Gem (MS65) grade as a result of the strike lacking full completeness (as is almost always the case). The overdate adds considerably to the character on this coin, as the 8 in the date is broadly repunched three times and the 0 remains clearly visible beneath the 2. Without question, one of the finest surviving examples of the date and currently the single finest example certified by PCGS.
