Free State copper Proof Pattern 6 Pence 1927 PR62 Brown NGC, Milan mint, engraved by Morbiducci, cf. KM-Pr5 for type in nickel. A very rare issue in copper, with most estimates numbering around 4 pieces known. The present specimen displays moderate tone with a couple of small surface marks, primarily on the reverse. Although not selected for mass production, the Morbiducci Provas are quite charming and remain very popular with collectors of Irish coinage.
